Sting down Knights 4-2 (GALLERY)

The Sarnia Sting doubled-up the London Knights 4-2 on home ice Tuesday night, the club's fourth win in five games.

Forward Max Namestnikov scored his third of the season and added two assists, and goaltender Ben Gaudreau made 36 saves in the win.

"I think a game like that definitely helps you out, it gives you a lot of confidence going forward," said Gaudreau. "Like we said in the room, I think [the Knights] are ranked second in the CHL right now, so to go in there a beat them, that's pretty special to us, and I think it gives all of our guys confidence, myself included, that we can play with teams like that and handle ourselves pretty well."

The Sting's lackluster powerplay turned things around during the second period when Nikita Tarasevich and Nolan DeGurse each scored with the man advantage, increasing Sarnia's lead to 3-0 at the time.  The Sting's powerplay is now 4 for 42 on the season, last in the OHL.

Knights forward Cody Morgan scored midway through the middle frame, his first of two goals on the night, to cut Sarnia's lead to 3-1.  Captain Brayden Guy increased Sarnia's lead back to three, with under seven minutes to play in the third period, with his third goal of the season.   Morgan scored his second goal in the final two minutes of play.

The win improves Sarnia's record to 5-6-2.  The Sting and Knights will face-off again on Friday night down Highway 402 in London.
