Legionnaires host Fan Appreciation Night

The Sarnia Legionnaires are hosting Fan Appreciation Night Thursday night as they play their final home game of the season at Sarnia Arena.

Fans can get into the game with $5 and a can of non-perishable food.

There are also a number of draws and prizes to be won, said President of the hockey club Terry Lilley.

"It's just our way of giving back to the many fans that come to the games year after year," said Lilley. "It's our way of saying thank you very much for supporting the team, and as much as we can give back to them."

Lilley said box office receipts are being matched by a local business to be donated to St. Vincent de Paul, The Inn of the Good Shepherd, and Salvation Army along with the donations of food.

The Legionnaires will host the LaSalle Vipers, starting at 7:10 p.m.
