Sting forward, Sarnia native making the move to OUA

A Sarnia Sting forward and Sarnia native will continue his playing days at the University of Guelph.

Nolan DeGurse scored 20 goals and 23 assists in 47 games for the Sting during the 2021-22 season.  He also added four goals and two assists in six postseason games.

On Friday, the Guelph Gryphons Men's Hockey team announced that they "are very excited to welcome DeGurse to the Gryphon Hockey Family."

DeGurse, 20, played a total of 69 regular season and playoff games for the Sting over the course of three seasons.  He also played 142 total games for the Sarnia Legionnaires of the GOJHL, compiling 77 goals and 65 assists.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
