Sting host development camp

The future of the Sarnia Sting will be front and centre during the hockey club's 2023 Development Camp this weekend.

Prospects from the 2022 and 2023 drafts, and free agents, will take part in fitness training, on-ice sessions and a scrimmage on May 19 and 20.

In a media release, the Sting said the camp will include a series of fitness testing, breakout sessions and tutorials that set the expectations of being a part of the OHL and a member of the Sarnia Sting.

The on-ice portions of the camp are open to the public beginning at 2 p.m. Friday at the Progressive Auto Sales Arena. The weekend concludes with the Black & Gold Scrimmage at 11:30 a.m. Saturday.

Last month, the Sting drafted a total of 15 players in the Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection.
