67's double Sarnia Sting 6-3

The Sarnia Sting dropped two of three on their weekend eastern road trip.

The Ottawa 67's topped the Sting 6-3 in OHL action Sunday afternoon at TD Place.

Nathan Omeri got his first OHL goal for the Sting Sunday. Zach Filak and Sandis Vilmanis also scored for Sarnia.

Brady Stonehouse scored twice for the 67's in the win.

Sting goalie Nick Surzycia stopped 28 of 34 shots.

The loss drops the Sting to 9-10-0-0 on the season.

They defeated Peterborough 2-1 in a shootout on Thursday, and lost 5-3 in Kingston on Friday night.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
