The Sarnia Sting lost to the Flint Firebirds once again Friday night 5-2.
On Wednesday, the Sting lost to Flint in a shootout.
Flint's Oliver Peer opened the scoring late in the first period followed by a goal shortly after by Jeremy Martin for the Firebirds to lead the Sting 2-0.
The Firebirds once again scored late in the second period to lead 3-0. Shortly after Zach Filak got the Sting's first goal to make it 3-1.
Five minutes into the third period Flint got a goal quickly followed by the Sting's Tyson Doucette to make the score 4-2.
Firebirds Connor Clattenburg scored the winning goal.
Even though Flint won the game Sarnia outshot the Firebirds 24-22.
Flint continues to be in eighth place just ahead of Sarnia with 50 points.
The Sarnia Sting plays the Soo Greyhound on Monday at home at the Progressive Auto Sales Arena.
