Sarnia gets stung by Kingston Frontenacs

The Sarnia Sting lost against the Kingston Frontenacs 4-1 Sunday afternoon extending their losing skid to five games.

Kingston started the scoring with a goal from Jax Dubois six minutes into the first period, followed by a goal from Paul Ludwinski two minutes later.

Sarnia's lone goal was scored by Tyson Doucette 9:40 into the first period.

General Manager Dylan Seca said even though the Sting lost there is still a little bit of hope to make the playoffs.

"It's just maintaining a positive mindset. Whether you're in or you're out it's a game we love to play," said Seca. "I think the mindset is still there within the group regardless of whatever the outcome ends up being."

Seca said it's been a challenging year especially with player injuries.

"We still think we can grind through to the playoffs. Had we not been in some of these injury scenarios we would have likely been in that situation. It's just leading (the players) through the fact you can't control what you can't control," he said.

The Sting play again at home at Progressive Auto Sales Arena against Mississauga on Wednesday. You can catch the game live on CHOK (103.9FM/1070AM).
