Sting fall at home to Barrie

A late comeback attempt by the Sarnia Sting fell short against the Barrie Colts.

They were at home on Sunday and ended up losing 5-2.

The only goal in the first period came from Barrie despite the Sting outshooting the Colts. Grayson Tiller found the back of the net for his fifth goal of the season.

Barrie dominated the second period, scoring three goals. They came from Cole Beaudoin, Michael Derbidge, and Evan Passmore.

The third period saw the Sting attempt to get back into the game.

Beckham Edwards scored his 10th goal a little over two minutes into the period. With exactly six minutes left, Edwards would find the back of the net again.

That’s as close as the Sting would get as Beaudoin added a second goal to cap the scoring.

With the loss, Sarnia’s record drops to 8-13-1-3, while Barrie moves to 15-7-0-0.

The Sting’s next game is on Wednesday, November 27, on the road against the Flint Firebirds.

You can catch the action live on CHOK (103.9FM/1070AM).
