Sarnia defeats Guelph Storm

The Sarnia Sting won against the Guelph Storm in OHL action Friday 4-3.

Guelph's Charlie Paquette started the scoring under a minute into the first period.

Sarnia's Liam Beamish kicked of the scoring for the Sting nearly seven minutes into the first period.

Roughly six minutes later Beckham Edwards scored which was quickly followed by Mitch Young.

In the third period Lukas Fischer made the final goal for the Sting.

Sarnia also outshot the Storm 31-30.

The Sting host the Erie Otters Saturday. Puck Drop is at 7:05 p.m. and the game can be heard live on CHOK (103.9FM/ 1070AM).

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
