Sting lose to the Rangers in overtime

The Sarnia Sting lost 4-3 in overtime to Kitchener on Friday.

Lukas Fischer started the scoring nearly 10 minutes into the first period and got his 15th goal of the season.

Kitchener's Luca Romano then started the scoring for the Rangers nearly 18 minutes into the first period.

During the second period Dylan Luecke and Ryan Brown scored to bring the Sting ahead.

Brown’s goal was his 15th of the season.

In the third period, Kitchener's Cameron Reid and Jack Pridham tied up the game.

Just over one minute into overtime the Rangers’ Christian Humphreys scored, winning the game for Kitchener.

The Sting are back in action on Sunday, March 2 when they host the Guelph Storm at the Progressive Auto Sales Arena. You can catch the game live starting with the pre-game show at 1:30 p.m. on CHOK (103.9FM/1070AM).

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
