Beamish gets first career hat trick in Sarnia's win against Guelph

Sarnia rookie Liam Beamish scored his first OHL career hat trick Friday against the Guelph Storm.

The Sting defeated the Storm 5-1 at the Sleeman Centre.

Alessandro Di Iorio kicked off the scoring seven minutes into the first period.

Nearly fourteen minutes into the second period Beamish scored his first goal of the evening.

Guelph's Charlie Paquette made the Storms first and only goal of the night during the third period.

Zach Filak quickly followed with assists from Easton Wainwright and Mitch Young.

Beamish then scored his second goal eight minutes into the period and his third 17 minutes in, marking goals 12 and 13 of the season.

The Sting play again Saturday in Flint against the Firebirds. Puck drop is at 7 p.m.
