The Sarnia Sting have a new goaltender.
On Friday, May 23 the hockey club announced Patrick Quinlan officially signed a Standard Player Agreement.
Quinlan, from Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, was selected by the Sting in the 8th round of the 2023 OHL Priority Selection.
He also recently earned the 18th overall spot on NHL Central Scouting's Final Rankings ahead of the 2025 NHL Draft.
Last season, Quinlan was a member of the United States National Under-18 Team, appearing in 26 games with a 15-1-1-7 record, a 3.30 goals-against average and .884 save percentage.
Additionally, he represented Team USA at the 2025 International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) Under-18 World Championship, helping the Americans capture bronze.
Quinlan is also committed to the University of Notre Dame.
"Watching Patrick evolve into one of the top-ranked goaltenders in his class has been exiting," said General Manager Dylan Seca. "That 18th spot on central scouting's list reflects his preparation and maturity. He's the kind of goaltender that can anchor a team, and we know he'll play a big role in our team."
