Sarnia Sting to play five pre-season games

The Sarnia Sting will kick off the 2025 preseason schedule with a home-and-home series against the London Knights in late August.

The Ontario Hockey League (OHL) released the preseason schedule on Monday, which features 50 games from August 29 until September 14.

In total, the Sting are slated to play five games.

Their first preseason game in London is scheduled to take place at 7 p.m. on Friday, August 29. The Sting will host the Knights on Saturday, August 30 at 7:05 p.m.

The Sting will travel to Midland to play the North Bay Battalion on Friday, September 5 and Barrie Colts on Saturday, September 6.

The Sting's last preseason game will be at home against the Peterborough Petes on Friday, September 12.

Opening night of the 2025-2026 OHL regular season will be on Thursday, September 18 as North Bay plays Oshawa and Peterborough faces Brampton.

The Sarnia Sting will host the Windsor Spitfires on Friday, September 19 for their home opener

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
