Hadley Wins SGCC Pro-Am Again

For the eighth time in the past nine years Brian Hadley of Thames Valley Golf Club won the Sarnia Golf and Curling Club's annual Pro Am.

Hadley fired a final round one over par 73 to finish at minus two in the two day event.

In the senior category former SGCC pro Steve Bennett, also of Thames Valley, won at plus four.

Top team this year consisted of Professional Jesse Drydak of Sawmill Creek G.C. with Amateurs, Des Morrow, Will Barnes and Robert Eyre.

Shortly after 6 p.m. Sunday, Sarnia police responded to reports of a man walking into traffic on Christina Street near Wellington Street, and threatening random people on the sidewalk.

Sarnia's Community Services Coordinator Sean Hanlon said some fan favourites are back this year, including the multicultural food booths, inflatables, the Handmade Market and a hula hoop fun zone.
