Local Talent Taken In OHL Draft

Some local talent was picked up during the weekend's OHL Priority Selection.

From the Lambton Jr. Sting, defenseman Jordan Hurtubise was chosen in the 10th round by the Mississauga Steelheads while goalie Jakob Knowles was taken in the 15th round by Sarnia.

Sarnia native Andrew Peters was chosen by Barrie in the 14th, he was with Mississsauga Rebels AAA program.

The Sting used their 15th overall pick to select Tyler Weiss from the Don Mills Flyers.

LPH warns of heat exhaustion

Lambton Public Health is reminding residents to take certain measures to avoid heat-related illnesses as hot and humid conditions continue.
