Sting fall to Colts 3-2 in overtime

The Sarnia Sting played hard but still came up short to the Barrie Colts in a 3-2 overtime loss on Saturday at the Sadlon Arena in Barrie.

Sarnia opened the scoring in the first period with two goals right off the bat but that was all the Sting could muster up.

Marcus Limpar-Lantz scored an unassisted goal at 1:19, earning his fifth goal of the season.

Lukas Fischer scored his first career OHL goal.

Nolan Burke helped assist Fischer’s goal before he took a big hit at center-ice from Connor Punnett that knocked him out of the game.

Sarnia will finish off their mini two-game road trip with a Sunday afternoon game against the Oshawa Generals.

Pregame on CHOK (103.9FM/1070AM) starts at 1:30 p.m. Puck drop is at 2:05 p.m.
