Express Win Home Opener

The Windsor Express took a 103-97 win over the Brampton A's in their home opener Friday night.

During the game at the WFCU Centre, the Express took a four point lead over Brampton by the end of the first quarter and extended that to eight by halftime. Windsor continued to increase their lead in the third and prevented Brampton from getting ahead to seal their victory in the fourth.

Quinnel Brown led Windsor in scoring with 19 points. Tony Bennett and Chris Commons finished with 17 each. Commons also made ten rebounds.

Windsor is set to take on the Island Storm on Thursday, Novemeber 13 at the WFCU Centre.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
