Snow Angels Needed

The City of Windsor is looking for volunteers to participate in the Snow Angels program.

The program links volunteers with the elderly or disabled in the community that need help shoveling their sidewalks during winter snow falls. To register as a volunteer or recipient, call 311 or visit the City of Windsor website.

City Engineer Mario Sonego says last year there were around 300 people in the community in need of the service.

"We want to get people signed up as soon as we can because there are a lot of people who need this service and we do need people to get their police clearances and everything else," says Sonego.

The fee for the clearance will be reimbursed by the city. Volunteers must be 16 years or older.
