Charges After Vehicle Ditched

A LaSalle man faces charges after he allegedly drove his vehicle into a ditch and fled.

The Ontario Provincial Police got a call around 10pm November 8 about the vehicle on Morris Side Rd. in Lakeshore. Officers from the canine unit and the Emergency Response Team searched for the driver. They found him a short time later.

Peter Cunningham, 29, faces a list of charges including careless driving, failing to report an accident, driving without a license and failing to apply for a permit to buy a vehicle.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
