Charges For Robbery And Retribution

Three suspects face charges, and two women, one accused of robbing the other, are nursing injuries.

A Windsor police officer on patrol in the 1000-block of Wyandotte St. E Sunday morning stopped when he spotted an upset woman sitting on the sidewalk. She said she suffered minor cuts and scratches during a robbery. While she provided some details, police say she wasn't very cooperative.

Not long after, officers were called to a home in the 500-block of Louis Ave. where a woman was being beaten. Police say a group of people were allegedly seeking retribution for the robbery reported by the woman on Wyandotte St. E. The victim of the assault was taken to hospital with swelling and bruising to her face.

Two men, aged 58 and 41, are charged with assault. A 30-year-old woman faces robbery charges.
