Abduction Attempt Under Investigation

Police in Windsor need the public's help after a woman reported an attempted abduction in Old Riverside.

The woman says she was walking along Wyandotte St. E at Ford Blvd. around 7pm Wednesday when a man came up behind her and forced her into a vehicle. She escaped a few blocks down the road when the vehicle stopped at a red light.

Police hope to release more information about the incident Thursday afternoon.

Investigators don't have a description of the man or the vehicle, so they ask anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area to give them a call. The number is 519-255-6700 ext. 4000. Tips can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 519-258-8477 (TIPS), on Facebook or at www.catchcrooks.com.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
