Update: Arrest In Walkerville Standoff

A suspect is in police custody and charges laid following a standoff in the Windsor neighbourhood of Walkerville Wednesday.

Police shut down the intersections of Ontario and Lincoln, and Richmond and Windemere after receiving reports someone had a gun. They heard two men were loudly arguing in front of a building, and one was pointing a BB gun at the other. Officers surrounded the building, but when they entered the apartment, it was empty.

Later, a 25-year-old man turned himself over to police. He faces possession of a dangerous weapon and breach of probation charges.

Investigators also seized a replica They also seized a replica Smith & Wesson semi-automatic pistol.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
