Flyers Beat Nationals

The Leamington Flyers took a 5-2 win over the London Nationals in GOJHL action Thursday night.

The Flyers started the game strong scoring three goals in the first period. Their performance didn't waver in the second as they scored another two before the Nationals made their first goal. The Nationals were able to score once more in the third, but Leamington was too far ahead for them to catch up.

The Flyers also out shot the Nationals 43-22.

Zack Guilbeault, Ryan Muzzin, Matthew Opblinger, Kyle Quick and Tyler Scott each scored one for Leamington.

The Flyers are set to take on the St. Thomas Stars next Thursday at 7:10pm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
