Rotary TV Auction Starts Tonight

It's referred to as the Windsor-St. Clair Rotary Club's 'biggest and most fruitful fundraising event' of the year. The 28th annual Rotary Auction On TV Cogeco runs tonight and tomorrow beginning at 7pm.

Club president elect John Weese says over 430 different items are up for bids.

"A large amount of money is going to be raised for charity," says Weese. "Not only for projects and efforts we have in our community but, as you know, rotary is an international service club so we fund basic need programs in third-world countries as well."

Last year's auction raised $49,000 and organizers hope to surpass $50,000 this time around.
