UPDATE: Woman Treated For Stab Wounds

Windsor police are looking for anyone with information on a stabbing in the city.

Officers found a 31-year-old woman at the corner of Wyandotte St. W and Church St. sitting on the sidewalk suffering from a stab wound at 2:10am on Friday. She didn't cooperate with police or give any details on what happened.

The woman was taken to hospital for treatment and is expected to recover from a puncture wound to the chest.

Police don't believe it was a random incident, but are still working to identify a suspect.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
