Spits Win In OT

The Windsor Spitfires took a 3-2 win in overtime over the Saginaw Spirit following solid comeback in the third period.

During the game Friday night, the Spitfires were forced to fight their way back from a 2-0 deficit after the Spirit scored once in the first period and once in the second. Jamie Lewis and Cristiano DiGiacinto each scored a goal in the third for the Spits to force OT.

After no scoring in extra time, Sam Povorozniouk and Ryan Foss each scored during the shootout to complete Windsor's comeback and win the game.

The Spitfires are back on the ice this Sunday to take on the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds at 2pm.
