Joint Police Investigation Nabs Five

A joint investigation by police in Amherstburg and Windsor and members of the Provincial Anti-Violence Intervention Strategy has ended in charges against five people.

A week ago, officers carried out search warrants on homes in both communities and found about $2,500 worth of percocet, marijuana, cocaine and oxycodone. Police also seized an undisclosed amount of Canadian cash.

So far, police have only named one of the suspects. Darryl Byrd, 23, of Windsor faces five charges involving possession and trafficking drugs.
