Swim With Santa This Season

The Swim with Santa and Rock with Rudolph event at Adventure Bay is raising money and food for the Windsor-Essex Jumpstart Student Nutrition Program.

Families are invited to the aquatic complex December 6 to hang out with Santa Claus and enjoy Christmas tunes.

Community Development Officer for Jumpstart Mary-Lynn Biggley says new schools are in need of assistance every year, especially since the economic downturn. "During that time, there were those whose parents had lost jobs and were out of work for a period of time. And poor and hungry is not only defined by socioeconomic factors. It can be defined by working parents or long bus rides."

Jumpstart serves more than 26,000 students in Windsor and Essex County each year, which works out to about 4-million total meals.

Admission to Adventure Bay will be just $5 for people of all ages on December 6.
