Review Would Delay Kingsville School

The possible study of school accommodations in Kingsville would put a hold on any upgrades to schools in the town.

A program and accommodation review completed in 2012 recommended a new JK to Grade 12 school, which was made a capital priority by the board in October.

"The ministry will stop all funding requests," according to Kingsville trustee Julia Burgess. "It would halt it for anything that has to do with that school whether it's improvements, renovations, anything."

The review request was deferred by the board until the new set of trustees takes over December 9.

Burgess says the condition of Kingsville Public School and Kingsville District High School has deteriorated since that study was completed.
