Inauguration For Windsor-Essex Councils

Every council across Windsor-Essex except for Tecumseh is set to have its newly elected councils inaugurated tonight.

Amherstburg Mayor-elect Aldo DiCarlo is eager to get down to business.

"This last month, after a whirlwind of campaigning, has really seemed to drag by so I'm real anxious to get in there and get started," says DiCarlo, expecting a better tone to start the new term than was left with the last council. "Everyone who got elected is looking to change things up from the way Amherstburg was operating and I think we're going to do great."

Tecumseh is set to meet on Tuesday at town hall for its inaugural meeting. Leamington and LaSalle hold their inaugural meetings in their respective council chambers on Monday night.

Amherstburg is holding its first meeting at the Verdi Club. The inaugural meeting in Essex will be at the Essex Arena and Sports Complex, in Lakeshore at the Atlas Tube Centre and in Kingsville at the Unico Community Centre. The Chrysler Theatre plays host to the inaugural meeting for Windsor City Council.
