One of three new trustees with the public school board, Jessica Sartori, is looking forward to addressing EQAO outcomes.
Sartori thinks change is needed to address a problem area in the public system.
"The Grade 6 math in particular," says Sartori. "I think we've been seeing a decline for several years and we need to find a way to turn those scores around."
The first-time trustee has been appointed as the vice-chair of the education committee for the Greater Essex County District School Board.
Alan Halberstadt and Ron Le Clair join Sartori as the new faces at the board table with the seven other trustees all having served in the most recent term.
