Power Derails Express Winning Streak

The Windsor Express' seven-game winning streak has been brought to a halt after they fell 100-99 to the Mississauga Power.

During the game Sunday afternoon, the Express had a 26-23 advantage after the first quarter, and a 44-44 tie brought the game into halftime. Windsor outscored the Power by three points in the third quarter, but Brampton was able to pull ahead 94-92 in the fourth. Windsor then regained their lead with a one-point advantage, but the Power took the game with 16 seconds left thanks to two free throws

Tony Bennett scored 25 points for the Express. DeAndre Thomas had 18 points and 11 rebounds.

Windsor is now 7-2 for the season.

Windsor's next game is on Saturday at 7pm against the Brampton A's.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
