Spreading Cheer To Windsor Seniors

Amica Mature Lifestyles in Windsor is lending a helping hand to some seniors in need this holiday season.

About 30 Amica residents put together 80 gift baskets to be delivered to various homes.

General Manager Christine Melnyk says the recipients are chosen by the people at Meals On Wheels because they know who in the community is most in need. "A lot of them don't have family or friends and are living in subsidized housing, so this is very very meaningful for them. We get cards back from some of the residents after the holidays just to say how much they appreciate being thought of at this time of the year."

Amica's Helping Hands charity has been running this event in Windsor since it located on Riverside Dr. E about five years ago.
