Meloche Re-elected As Deputy

Richard Meloche will serve as deputy mayor in the Town of Essex, just as he has for the last eight years.

He hopes to see economic prosperity in this term. "We've got to look at better ways of developing, planning and attracting persons to this region," explains Meloche. "I think we've done a good job in trying to attract residents who are retired, and now we need to do the same with younger people and younger families."

Meloche is also excited to again be a part of Essex County Council.

He says there are people that say they'd back him for deputy warden in the county as well, but he's not had much time to think about whether or not he'll be putting his name in for that position.
