Turning A New Leaf

Amherstburg Council is ready to bring a change of culture to town hall.

It held an orientation session Tuesday and Wednesday, where elected officials got better acquainted with policies, procedures and the administrative staff they'll be working alongside.

Mayor Aldo DiCarlo is getting settled into his new job and is feeling a very positive vibe from his fellow councillors. "Everyone's very respectful with everyone else's positions, and so far it's been very uneventful -- which I guess is good though, right?"

Only Diane Pouget and Deputy Mayor Bart DiPasquale served on the previous council in Amherstburg.
