Woman Stabbed In The Back

A 55-year-old woman has been sent to hospital after police say she was punched and stabbed twice in the back.

Windsor police say at around 2am Sunday, a man approached the woman who was waiting at a bus stop on Wyandotte St. W at Bruce Ave.

The two began to argue after the man attempted to start a conversation. That's when police say the man punched the woman to the ground and stabbed her in the back. She's required surgery as a result of her injuries and is listed in critical, but stable condition.

Police are searching for a black male in his 30s with a slight mustache, 5'6" and 180 lbs. He was last seen wearing a brown jacket and blue jeans. If you have any information call police or Crime Stoppers.
