Leamington Kettle Campaign On Track

The Leamington Salvation Army expects to reach its $85,000 kettle campaign goal this year.

So far they've raised $60,000, which is on par with previous years according to Captain Corey Vincent. "We're just encouraging people to get out and give, give from their hearts. We have noticed a slight increase this year in the number of people who have applied for Christmas hampers and Christmas assistance."

Vincent says some of those extra people are former Heinz employees.

Nearly 100 volunteers packed 200 Christmas hampers yesterday and will begin handing them out tomorrow.
