Spits Clash With Spirit

The Spitfires are hoping to head into the Christmas break on a winning note, as they're set for a pair of games against Saginaw.

The Spirit visit Windsor tonight, before the Spits travel to Michigan on Saturday.

Head Coach Bob Boughner says despite losing two in a row, his team's been more consistent lately. "We wish we would have got at least two more points on the (northern Ontario) road trip. We deserved it. We ran into a hot goalie in Sudbury, and was just one of those games where we couldn't put one by him, but we played well enough to definitely win."

The Spits sit just five points back of Saginaw for eighth in the OHL's Western Conference.

Puck drop is set for 7pm.
