Suspect Arrested After Foot Chase

Following a brief chase with police over several backyard fences, a 30-year-old man has been arrested after a house was broken into.

Windsor police say a man entered a residence in the 400-block of McEwan Ave. this morning just before 8am. The suspect demanded the homeowner repay an outstanding debt. The homeowner told police the person he was looking for no longer lives at the address.

Instead of cash, the suspect stole a video game system and a laptop after mentioning he was carrying a gun. Police quickly spotted the man down the street and he began to run. After a short pursuit, the 30-year-old was arrested in the backyard of a house in the 300-block of McEwan Ave.

He's facing several charges in relation to breaking and entering and robbery.
