Spits Fall to Whalers

The Windsor Spitfires lost 6-4 to the Plymouth Whalers in OHL action Wednesday afternoon.

The first period ended with an even 1-1 score, but the Whalers were able to take a 4-2 lead going into the final 20 minutes. Windsor scored two goals in the third, but were matched by two goals from Plymouth.

Trevor Murphy, Cristiano DiGiacinto, Liam Murray and Ryan Moore each scored one for Windsor.

The Spitfires are back on the ice next Wednesday against the Belleville Bulls at 7pm.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
