UPDATE: Apartment Fire Causes $150K In Damages

An apartment fire on Glengarry Ave. has been ruled accidental by Windsor fire officials.

The Windsor Fire and Rescue Service says the blaze started just before 9am on Saturday, at 333 Glengarry Ave. It was contained to one unit on the fourth floor.

There were no injuries.

Damage to the unit is pegged at $80,000 and damage to the building is estimated at $70,000.

Fire officials say about 30 people were displaced due to smoke and water damage. All residents but two have since returned to their apartments.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
