Spits Double Otters

The Windsor Spitfires took a 6-3 victory over the Erie Otters in OHL action on Saturday.

After both teams scored two goals in the first period, Windsor took a 4-3 lead in the second. The Spitfires were then able to capitalize in the third, scoring two more goals to double the Otters.

Hayden McCool led the Spits with two goals. Markus Soberg, Sam Povorozniouk, Logan Brown and Trevor Murphy each scored one.

The Spitfires are back on the ice on Sunday to take on the Mississauga Steelheads at 2pm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
