Apartment Fire Causes $15K In Damages

Damage is pegged at around $15,000 after a fire broke out in an apartment unit in Windsor.

The Windsor Fire and Rescue Service says around 4pm on Friday, firefighters responded to the blaze at 935 Goyeau St., which was contained to a fifth floor unit. The fire was quickly put out and no one was injured.

Fire officials say the unit sustained around $5,000 in damages. Other units on the lower floors sustained approximately $10,000 in water damage.

The fire has been ruled accidental but a cause has not been determined.
