Spits Down Frontenacs In OT

The Windsor Spitfires beat the Kingston Frontenacs in a close 3-2 overtime win Saturday night.

The score was even at 1-1 at the end of the first, and the Spitfires were able to take a 2-1 advantage going into the third. However, Kingston scored again with less than seven minutes left to tie the game and force OT. Express right wing Lucas Venuto scored the game winner in extra time.

Markus Soberg led Windsor with two goals.

The Spits are back on the ice on Thursday to take on the Sudbury Wolves at 7:05pm.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
