Police Investigate Large Copper Theft

Windsor police are searching for thieves who stole a "large amount" of copper from a building that just suffered a fire in November.

The suspects broke into a building at 943 Ottawa St. not once, but twice.

The first incident happened on January 5 at around 12:30am. The same building was broken into again sometime between January 11 at 6pm and January 12 at 3pm.

A third incident happened Wednesday night into Thursday morning, but a new alarm system scared the thieves off.

Anyone with information is asking to call Windsor police or anonymously Crime Stoppers.
