Suspect Sought After Armed Robbery

Police are looking for a suspect after a variety store was held up at knife point in Leamington.

The Leamington Ontario Provincial Police says on Wednesday around 7pm, a man entered the store on Mill St. W, brandished a knife and demanded money. The store clerk turned over a small quantity of cash before the suspect took off.

No one was injured during this incident.

The suspect is described as being around 20 years old, wearing dark clothing, a scarf, a toque, and gloves with his face concealed.

Police have been unable to locate the suspect and are asking anyone with information to contact the Leamington OPP at 519-326-2544, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
