Rangers Down Spits In Shootout

The Windsor Spitfires fell 5-4 to Kitchener Rangers after a close shootout game Saturday night.

During the game, the Rangers drew first blood, taking a 1-0 lead in the first period. Windsor was able to tie the game 2-2 by the end of the second and both teams scored twice in the third to force overtime. After no scoring in OT, the Rangers scored in a shootout for the win.

Jamie Lewis led Windsor with two goals. Lucas Venuto and Anthony Stefano each scored one.

The Spits face off against the Sarnia Sting next Saturday at 7:05pm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
