Call Leads To Spear Robbery Arrest

Windsor police have arrested a man wanted in a robbery where a spear was used, while investigating a call about two men breaking into vehicles.

Police got the call around 1:45am January 16 and officers arrested two men in a parking lot in the 1200-block of Lauzon Rd.

During the search of one suspect, officers found a three-foot long tree branch with a seven-inch knife taped to the one end. They also found items believed to have been stolen from a Mac's convenience store on January 13.  The suspect in the robbery took off with cash after threatening the clerk with a make-shift spear.

A 22-year-old Windsor man faces robbery with a weapon, uttering threats, committing an indictable offence with a face mask and possession of a weapon for committing an offence charges. A 21-year-old man is also charged with carry a concealed weapon.

Two people wanted by police have been arrested after the Sarnia Police Service (SPS) executed a Feeney warrant, which allows officers to enter a private residence to arrest a person.
