OPP Investigate Belle River Robbery

The OPP is searching for a lone man with a weapon who robbed a Belle River convenience store.

Police were dispatched to the 400-block of Notre Dame St. Sunday just before 11pm.

The man entered, pulled out a weapon and demanded money. Police say he made off with an undisclosed amount of cash. The canine unit, emergency response team and a number of OPP officers arrived within minutes and searched the area with no success.

The suspect is described as a white male, 5'7" to 5'8" between 140 lbs and 150 lbs with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, blue pants, black running shoes with white soles and laces, black gloves and a black balaclava covering his face. Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
