Police Follow Liquor Trail

Police in Windsor are looking for a suspect after a trail of spilled liquor stopped short of an arrest.

The break-in, around 3am Tuesday, was at a business in the 5900-block of Wyandotte St. E. Someone smashed the front window and stole a few bottles of liquor.

Police say the suspect dropped one bottle outside, and a trail of liquor led officers west on Wyandotte, and then south on Esdras Ave. That's where police found two more broken bottles.

The trail ended in the 5900-block of Ontario St.

Anyone with information can call the Windsor Police Service at 519-255-6700 ext. 4350 or Crime Stoppers at 519-258-8477 (TIPS). You can also submit tips on Facebook and at www.catchcrooks.com.
